Last Call

door-image

Tell me where’ve you been,

I can barely tell the time.
Is there something to lean into,
on the head of a dime?

I see the people all around,
they are dropping like the flies.
I hear that your busy,
even though you stay inside.

It’s time for the last call.
As the curtains fall.
Are you still breathing,
or are you just sleeping?

It’s the time of our lives,
there’s nowhere to hide.
My fevers willing,
to make a killing.

We won’t be dancing anymore.
In a community known as salvation.
The top is tipping over.
The crippling of our nation.

But I think it’s time to go.

You can stack your shelves,
kick back hell,
live in your home.
But there’s something,
you need to know,
I’m not living alone.

I got mouths to feed,
a family to keep,
a job and a son.
And if you think it’s over,
it’s only just begun.

The people are the lifeblood,
and the lifeblood is serene.
We’ll become a band of misfits,
become as thick as thieves.

If the worlds collapsing,
there’s no passing.

If the world is fine,
we’ll make this right.

It’s time for the last call.
And as the curtains draw.
Will you be lively,
or dying?

Remember me
