Start from the beginning:
Saralynn Draper: Stage 1
This transcript follows closely to the termination of the psychological evaluations of five individuals who worked at South Tech labs. All participants in the wake of Project Sacrosanct are under close evaluation by trained professionals. The purpose of releasing these transcripts is to bring to light of the Corruption Cycle to the public and to help build legislation to protect those who suffer from the Corruption Cycle. At no point will these individuals be released into the public until public awareness has been fulfilled. The transcript follows:
The subjects name is Daniel Adams. He is male and is about thirty. Daniel is not native to our country but knows our language fluently. He is at stage 2. When exposure is at a minimum of 4 hours we will see Stage 2. In stage 2 neurons, synapses, and grey matter decay even more. Because if this decay most people in stage 2 have trouble not acting on impulses. At this point most corruption is mental, physical corruption begins at stage 2 with a loss of appetite.
Dr. Stanton: Daniel! Come in, please.
Daniel: Hello Doctor. How are you?
Dr. Stanton: I’m fine but we should be more concerned with you. You look…ghastly.
Daniel: Yeah. This whole thing…what?
Dr. Stanton: What?
Daniel: I’m hearing things. It’s something that I can’t turn off now.
Dr. Stanton: What did you hear?
Daniel: It’s weird. I’m not really hearing specific things. It’s usually distant and can be mistaken easily do to my location unless if I’m certain I’m alone, which I’m not.
Dr. Stanton: Explain.
Daniel: Like. A thumping behind a wall. Muffled talking. Something that can be easily mistaken as reality.
Dr. Stanton: Interesting. What did you just hear when you responded what?
Daniel: It was just some muffled talking.
Dr. Stanton: Daniel. I want to believe you but you wouldn’t respond what to something on the other side of a wall. I’m thinking you heard me say something. That’s the only thing that would warrant a what?
Daniel: I guess I do hear people talking but it’s something I can easily differentiate between reality and what I’m imagining.
Dr. Stanton: What did you hear me say?
Daniel: Something about my mother. It’s not pertinent to the conversation.
Dr. Stanton: You would tell me if these voices are telling you to do something? Right?
Daniel: Yeah I guess.
Dr. Stanton: Daniel. That’s why I’m here. I’m here to help you with this transition and if you don’t let me help you then I can’t help you.
Daniel: Yeah. I understand but the question wasn’t anything like that. Believe me. It wasn’t anything.
Dr. Stanton: Okay Daniel. I’m going to believe you, but if this continues you have got to talk to me.
Daniel: I understand.
Dr. Stanton: Now before you said that you were understanding the tablet better than the others. Have you made any progress?
Daniel: We’re all reading the same paragraphs. Wouldn’t it be better to have us all read different paragraphs and put together all the translations.
Dr. Stanton: Daniel. This is going to be hard for you to understand but the purpose of all of you being here is not to translate the tablet.
Daniel: I don’t understand what’s the reason why we are here then? I was told we were here to ————.
Dr. Stanton: Of your team ends up translating the tablet then more power
to you but…it’s not your goal. We have another team doing what you are doing but there goal is to get the grand scheme of things. You are here so we can study the Corruption Cycle.
Daniel: I was lied to? I don’t want to be corrupted. There’s no cure, not yet at least. I can’t back out can I?
Dr. Stanton: Daniel it’s okay. We aren’t going to be doing any tests on you. Not until we need the metrics. I got you something.
*Dr. Stanton reaches behind her.*
Dr. Stanton: Here. You said you were artistic. I would like you to draw or paint something between each phase.
Daniel: I have been wanting to be creative…
Dr. Stanton: Good. Here take what you need and show me what you feel like right now.
Daniel: I want to do this one in charcoal.
