Saralynn Draper: Stage 1

This transcript follows closely to the termination of the psychological evaluations of five individuals who worked at South Tech labs. All participants in the wake of Project Sacrosanct are under close evaluation by trained professionals. The purpose of releasing these transcripts is to bring to light of the Corruption Cycle to the public and to help build legislation to protect those who suffer from the Corruption Cycle. At no point will these individuals be released into the public until public awareness has been fulfilled. The transcript follows:

The subjects name is Daniel Adams. He is male and is about thirty. Daniel is not native to our country but knows our language fluently. He is at stage 3. When exposure is at a minimum of 8 hours, subjects show signs of cacoethes for things they did not crave and uncontrollable mania. Subjects state that they hear voices and others seem to have multiple personalities. Subjects may be mentally fragile and anger easily. The pupils of the subjects become enlarged and remain that way no matter of the sensory input or thoughts of the subject. They no longer react to light. Suits are no longer required to keep containment.

Dr. Stanton: Alright Daniel. I need you to talk about your hallucinations.

Daniel: Which ones?

Dr. Stanton: All of them if you could. I would also to get your weight, check your eyes, and some blood

Daniel: Hmm. Where to start. These thoughts that aren’t mine. They are getting more intrusive in my mind.

*Dr. Stanton checking eyes*

Dr. Stanton: mhmm. Are they still all random?

Daniel: I notice to fall asleep last night. I couldn’t sleep. It was when I started thinking of these thoughts that calmed me down enough to fall asleep.

Dr. Stanton: You have any examples?

Daniel: I saw a cartoonish man. He was ethnic and had a beard. He stood on the street struggling with breathing. I breathed with him and the breathing man morphed into objects and things that just are plain weird. People with weird faces. Thoughts that bend reality but in my mind. It’s all weird yet it out my mind at peace.

Dr. Stanton: Very interesting. You still have people talking to you? Bring out your arm.

*Dr. Stanton prepares a blood draw.

Daniel: I feel something like personas.

Dr. Stanton: Interesting explain.

Daniel: Ouch! I have people talking to me and they are actual people not just a thought.

Dr. Stanton: Okay. Explain one of these personas so me.

Daniel: There’s Jose. He says his name. He’s foreign and he likes to work with wood.

Dr. Stanton: Like that one issue you had on stage 1?

Daniel: Yes! At the start, the thoughts were mine but they were not mine. Now they are personas.

Dr. Stanton: Interesting is Jose like, married?

Daniel: He has a girlfriend.

Dr. Stanton: And all this is in your head?

Daniel: Yes!

Dr. Stanton: Very peculiar. I guess I should ask. Is any of them telling you to hurt yourself or others?

Daniel: The better question is if they are telling me anything. They aren’t. It’s like in my head is an antenna and I’m picking up people’s lives. They don’t know I’m here.

Dr. Stanton: Weird. Can you step on this scale?

Daniel: Yeah.

*Daniel steps on scale*

Dr. Stanton: Have you been eating?

Daniel: I lost most appetite about an hour ago.

Dr. Stanton: You’ve lost fifteen pounds.

Daniel: Since?

*Dr. Stanton checks watch.*

Dr. Stanton: Last nine hours. We weighed you before you went to the facility.

Daniel: Damn. Will I be okay?

Dr. Stanton: Define okay.

Daniel: Will I get through this?

Dr. Stanton: There’s no cure as of right now. We’re hoping this study will help us find a cure.

Daniel: I guess I got to get to the worst before I can get better then huh?

Dr. Stanton: You would be correct.

Daniel: What else do we need to do?

Dr. Stanton: Typically were done with mental states. It’s obvious you’re not doing well. But we have been doing art with you. Would you like to do another piece?

Daniel: Yes. Sure.

*Items are chosen and Daniel starts to draw*

Dr. Stanton: How many personas do you feel you have?

Daniel: Huh? Sorry. Umm about six right now. Sorry. I’m trying to focus.

*Dr. Stanton watches as Daniel draws. About thirty minutes pass.

Daniel: Little grim. But it’s what I feel.

Dr. Stanton: Can you describe it to those that are listening?

Daniel: It’s me in a chair. It’s…what I imagine I will look like when all this is over.

Dr. Stanton: Daniel in this drawing is malnourished, shirtless and looks corpse like.

Daniel: Is this how it’s going to turn out?

Dr. Stanton: Unfortunately I don’t know. This is all fairly new and we’re trying to get to the bottom of it.

Daniel: Am I done?

Dr. Stanton: Yes. You can go.

Daniel: Thank you doctor.

*Daniel leaves*

Dr. Stanton: Daniel’s outlook is very grim. He obviously doesn’t feel well although thus was expected. I’ve never heard of personas in any of the previous subjects. I guess this effects everyone differently.
