Jean and Thomas argued frequently. They argued about many petty things and although neither of them enjoyed it, they argued anyway. Jean one day pointed out that living with Thomas was not paradise and that she was going to leave him. Acknowledging that neither of them enjoyed being together, Thomas agreed. He stated that they lived in a dystopia, a living hell and he would do anything to get out of the situation even if it meant being alone.
