This transcript follows closely to the termination of the psychological evaluations of five individuals who worked at South Tech labs. All participants in the wake of Project Sacrosanct are under close evaluation by trained professionals. The purpose of releasing these transcripts is to bring to light of the Corruption Cycle to the public and to help build legislation to protect those who suffer from the Corruption Cycle. At no point will these individuals be released into the public until public awareness has been fulfilled. The transcript follows:
The subjects name is Saralynn Draper. She is female and in between twenty and thirty. She is at stage one of the Corruption cycle. Symptoms include, on a case by case scenario, if one is exposed to Terium for, at a minimum, of an hour they will begin to display disorganized thinking. It will become evident that the inflicted are starting to become affected by the Terium. Along with disorganized thinking, we can see a decay in the neurons, synapses, and grey matter within scans of the brain and body.
Dr. Stanton: How are you doing Saralynn? How are you feeling?
Saralynn: Fine, I guess. Do you know how long I’m going to be here?
Dr. Stanton: You know I can’t tell you that. The Corruption Cycle is something we don’t quite understand quite yet and that’s why you are here.
Saralynn: I think I bit off more than I could chew. The talk is we are going to be here for a while. I’m not sure if I can do that.
Dr. Draper: You’re here to help us do research. You can’t leave until we reach our goals.
Saralynn: Yeah. I know. I just wish I could do something more. This plate made of Terium, where does it come from? Do we know?
Dr. Draper: That’s why we have you looking at it. We don’t know anything about this plate. Could you figure out what any of it said.
Saralynn: I think I should have paid more attention in class when I got my degree. The language is very old. Something I don’t understand. Luckily a member of the research team has an idea. Honorifics he says. We don’t have very much of that in our language so it’s going to be a little while.
Dr. Stanton: Alright. Let’s do some word association. I’m going to say a word and you are going to tell me what comes to mind. There are no wrong answers here so speak your mind. Okay?
Saralynn: Okay.
Dr. Stanton: Corruption.
Saralynn: Evil.
Dr. Stanton: Hereditary
Saralynn: Natural.
Dr. Stanton: Addiction.
Saralynn: Umm… equal.
Dr. Stanton: Why equal?
Saralynn: Everyone has an addiction. No matter what. It could be something simple to something more complex.
Dr. Stanton: And what’s your addiction?
Saralynn: Shopping. I came into a well privileged family. Money has never been an issue
Dr. Stanton: Have you ever been in debt?
Saralynn: Me? No.
Dr. Stanton: Looking at your recruitment interview you mentioned you would do anything for money. We were paying pretty well once this was over.
Saralynn: Oh yeah? I guess I forgot I said that.
Dr. Stanton: Would you describe yourself careless?
Saralynn: Umm. If we’re being honest with each other I guess we can say that.
Dr. Stanton: Careless with your money?
Saralynn: *sighs* Yes. My parents have money and I’ve never really had a job before. Paid for an expensive education. Never applied what I learned though.
Dr. Stanton: Well you’re in good hands. You’re free to go. I’ll talk to you again in a few hours.
*Saralynn Draper leaves the room*
Dr. Stanton: Saralynn’s parents put in a good word for her to work at the complex. We were sure they knew of the dangers that this posed, they seemed… accepting if her fate became muddled. It appears that they are aware of her carelessness and wanted her to feel some accountability. Being ravaged from the Corruption Cycle will be very tough on Saralynn. If she didn’t have abandonment issues before, she will now. After more exposure, we will see how she feels about her parents.
A Poets Mind
I really dont know how to speak my mind right now so I guess I’ll tell you random facts about myself; I have a big
