Saralynn Draper: Stage 5

This transcript follows closely to the termination of the psychological evaluations of five individuals who worked at South Tech labs. All participants in the wake of Project Sacrosanct are under close evaluation by trained professionals. The purpose of releasing these transcripts is to bring to light of the Corruption Cycle to the public and to help build legislation to protect those who suffer from the Corruption Cycle. At no point will these individuals be released into the public until public awareness has been fulfilled. The transcript follows:

The subjects name is Saralynn Draper. She is female and in between twenty and thirty. She is at stage 4 but is very close to stage 5. When Stage 5 happens—minimum of 16 hours—there is now no reasoning. Any communication with the subject turns hostile as the subject is animalistic in nature. The subjects attack everything in sight. The body is shrunken around the subjects bones and food no longer keeps the subject living. Nails and hair are frail and break easily. Subjects do not bleed as they previously did. The blood that was in them previously has turned black and coagulates. It is unknown how the body still functions but it is apparent that the body is stuck in a form of stasis or immortality. Any attempts to put the subjects out of their misery have proven to be futile. Any form of injection, electrocution, strangulation or any other forms to relieve the subjects of their life have proven fruitless.

Dr. Stanton: This is Doctor Stanton reporting. We are currently moving the subject to a sterile room to find out what is happening internally. If proven fruitful, we can figure out the cure for the Corruption Cycle.

Security guard 1: Doctor. Go to room 106. Down the hall to the right. We already have a team of medical professionals there. They just arrived.

*You can hear rushing down a hallway with various voices. Many indiscernible. Dr. Stanton is the only voice you can understand.

Dr. Stanton: 102…104… there! Bring her in here! Saralynn. Can you hear me?

Saralynn: Barely the voices. There’s so many voices.

Dr. Stanton: Everyone, quiet down! Saralynn. Is that better.

Saralynn: *weakly* No. The voices. It’s not from people. I…I…

*Saralynn starts shaking and the recorder falls on the floor*

Dr. Stanton: Shes convulsing!

Nurse 1: Hold her down!

Doctor Beckham: What happened Stanton?!

Dr. Stanton: I tried to take some blood. It’s not flowing.

Doctor Beckham: Let’s get her a sedative like we planned. We knew we were approaching this day. Now it’s time to work.

Dr. Stanton: If the bloods not flowing—”

Doctor Beckham: Oh. There’s blood in there. This will work just fine. Hold her steady.

*Saralynn’s shaking soon stops and Dr. Stanton picks up the recorder.*

Dr. Beckham: Okay. We can talk. Stanton, she’s at Stage 5. When she wakens she’s not going to be herself.

Dr. Stanton: No…

Dr. Beckham: Hold the rest of the evaluations in the room adjacent to this one. People will be dropping like flies. Five patients?

Dr. Stanton: To this team. There’s another five but they aren’t as far along.

Dr. Beckham: But these five, Stage Four?

Dr. Stanton: Last time they got evaluated they were at Stage Three. Except for two. One was not as far along. And there is another who’s further.

*Dr. Beckham mumbles to his nurse. She whispers back.*

Dr. Beckham: Tate?

Dr. Stanton: Yes. Is he okay?

Dr. Beckham: He’s on the cusp of Stage Five.

Dr. Stanton: Oh no. What are we doing with Saralynn?

Dr. Beckham: we’ve already set up a enclosure in the lab.

Dr. Stanton: You’re going to keep those things near people?

Dr. Beckham: We need to keep everything close together. There’s plenty security in that room already. Just a few more things they need to watch.

Dr. Stanton: I guess. I better get the next evaluation going. I’m behind now.
