Start from the beginning:

Saralynn Draper: Stage 1

This transcript follows closely to the termination of the psychological evaluations of five individuals who worked at South Tech labs. All participants in the wake of Project Sacrosanct are under close evaluation by trained professionals. The purpose of releasing these transcripts is to bring to light of the Corruption Cycle to the public and to help build legislation to protect those who suffer from the Corruption Cycle. At no point will these individuals be released into the public until public awareness has been fulfilled. The transcript follows:

The subjects name is Tate Fitzsimmons. He is male and is just about over twenty. Tate is our youngest volunteer to participate in this study He is at stage one of the Corruption cycle. Symptoms include, on a case by case scenario, if one is exposed to Terium for, at a minimum, of an hour they will begin to display disorganized thinking. It will become evident that the inflicted are starting to become affected by the Terium. Along with disorganized thinking, we can see a decay in the neurons, synapses, and grey matter within scans of the brain and body.

Dr. Stanton: Hello Tate, make yourself comfortable. How are you doing today?

Tate: Fine I guess. I knew what I was getting into when I signed up. Nothing new about that.

Dr. Stanton: Have you participated in studies like this before?

Tate: Yes. I have to to get my degree. Almost done. Just under a year left.

Dr. Stanton: your pretty young to be getting a degree. Did you go to college early?

Tate: I guess you can say that. Graduated early. I was much smarter than my classmates.

Dr. Stanton: What are you studying?

Tate: Psychology. Hopefully one day I can be doing things like you. Telling others what to do.

Dr. Stanton: My job isn’t telling others what to do.

Tate: Oh I know. It’s just something I want to do.

Dr. Stanton: So you’re looking for leadership roles then.

Tate: I’ve always been told what to do. One day I will do that myself.

Dr. Stanton: Do you have issues with authority figures?

Tate: Yeah. Yeah I guess you can say that.

Dr. Stanton: Well I wish you luck. Let’s get started. I’m going to say a word. I would like you to—.

Tate: I’m aware. Others told me what to expect.

Dr. Stanton: Divine.

Tate: Unnecessary.

Dr. Stanton: knowledge.

Tate: Important.

Dr. Stanton: Self aware.

Tate: Tate.

Dr. Stanton: Tate?

Tate: I’m self aware. I realize I’m being standoffish. An asshole. It’s something I try to work on. It’s my personality sadly.

Dr. Stanton: Okay. Next I’m going to show you some ink blots. Tell me what you see.

Tate: That’s unexpected.

Dr. Stanton: Why’s that?

Tate: Nobody mentioned ink blots.

Dr. Stanton: I guess I’m full of surprises.

Tate: I…

Dr. Stanton: Yes?

Tate: I didn’t prepare for this.

Dr. Stanton: Good. Maybe I’ll get a straight answer out of you. What do you see?

Tate: You didn’t do ink blots with the others did you?

Dr. Stanton: Tate I need you to focus, what do you see?

Tate: Existential dread.

Dr. Stanton: This ink blot? You see existential dread in this ink blot?

Tate: I’m facing existential dread in general.

Dr. Stanton: Okay. And why do you think your feeling existential dread?

Tate: I don’t feel good. I wonder if it was that plate?

Dr. Stanton: The plate you read? You are aware of what this study is for right?

Tate: It was rhetorical.

Dr. Stanton: Hmmm?

Tate: IT WAS RHETORICAL! God damn doctors poking me asking me if I’m okay. I’m experiencing the Corruption Cycle am I supposed to feel okay? No? Then FUCK OFF!

*The room is silent for 45 Seconds*

Tate: Doctor Stanton? I came at you with a lot of hate. I was at a ten. I need to be at least at a seven.

Dr. Stanton: Tate? Tell me that this is either you or the corruption. I need to know

Tate: I don’t know. Where the spine ends and the brain starts. It’s all just interconnection into just some big mess of chaos that is located in the secret area of my brain. Do you want in? Because I can show you.

Dr. Stanton: What is going on Tate? Did you obey the rules and regulations?

Tate: Did I? Did I…obey…yes. I did what I was supposed to do and my mind has been opened to a doorway that I shouldn’t see. Should I see what’s on the other SIDE!?

Dr. Stanton: Security!

Tate: The numbness just trickles down my leg until I get a new way to walk the stony shore.

Security Guard: What’s going on Doc?

Dr. Stanton: He’s unstable. I don’t know what happened.

Security Guard: Got you. Hey Tate? Hey man? Let’s leave the room man you cool?

Tate: Will it be secret? Will it be safe?

Security Guard: Ya man. You’ll be safe. Come on man. Let me show you to your quarters.

*Tate leaves room*

Dr. Stanton: it’s become evident that Tate has broken some rules. Don’t know why, don’t know how but he planned on lying his way through this session. We will not give him any more plate time until we can figure out how much he already has.
