The Eternal Flame

I:I

At the beginning of time there stood the Eternal Flame. In the Void it was all that gave light. Surrounded by darkness for millions of years, it persevered it’s light to fend off the darkness in hope that it would light up the universe one day. The Void would swipe at the flame in wishing to extinguish the last bit of light in the universe. Sometimes the flame would go out just to be revived seconds later. It was perseverance that kept the flame going and soon it wooed agents of the Void.

Little by little. One by one. Agents of the void aligned with the Eternal Flame. As a gift of thanks the Eternal Flame gave a way so the agents could give off light much as itself. Soon there were many flames lighting up the darkest corners of the universe. The Void was not happy about this and extinguished many flames to make them into clouds of stardust which made planets and other celestial bodies. The Eternal Flame endured and remained at the center of the universe as more flames were created and others extinguished.

It is a ever going battle between the Void and the Eternal Flame. Soon the Eternal Flame wishes to light up every corner of the universe by any means possible but there came a issue. There were no more agents of the Void. Only the Void itself remained. One day it is said that all of the agents will be extinguished through millions of years leaving the Eternal Flame and the Void in a stalemate. There is no light without darkness. Two sides of the same coin. We will be long gone by the time this happens but entropy will rule the day in the end unless if there becomes a way in which us humans can assist the Eternal Flame.

Lady Manticore. The God of the faith proposed that people can be celestial bodies by becoming Celestials. After death we have a purpose. A eternity is awaiting us after our death and our life here is just a miniscule part of the Lady’s plan. Through faith in good works we can assist the Eternal Flame. The creator of everything. Humans, God, and even the Void. We owe the Eternal Flame our never ending servitude and through the Flame we can live forever.
