The Sorrow

door-image

Where have you gone,

have you left for the rapture?

A sinking feeling,

you might be gone.

Circumstance,

in a world that is ending.

A little sorrow,

you’re the only one.

I can feel it now,

a hint of desperation.

A soft sound,

but enough to see.

There’s a ghost,

on Third and Carter

I swear I saw you,

but you whisped away.

I can take all the worldly possessions,

and set them all to the flame.

I would set myself on fire,

if it means seeing you again.

I would destroy everything I like most,

and throw them into the ocean.

I would never see light again,

if you would listen to this quick motion.

This is not what I asked for,

let me try again.

A quick slash or a swift knot.

Maybe I will see you then.

I see you now,

even though I attempted.

A bitter union,

between life and death.

Can you hear me now?

I’m calling out to you.

The darkness is cold,

I can see my breath.

There’s a man,

looking at me.

He has a smile,

I think I’m home.

Can you hear me now?

I’m calling out to you

I’d rather be dead,

then be alone

I can take all the worldly possessions,

and set them all to the flame.

I would set myself on fire,

if it means seeing you again.

I would destroy everything I like most,

and throw them into the ocean.

I would never see light again,

if you would listen to this quick motion.

This is not what I asked for,

let me try again.

A quick slash or a swift knot.

Maybe I will see you then.

This is not what I asked for,

let me try again.

If the chance came before me,

I would do it again.

Remember me
